In addition to the video explaining how Lantern works, we also created a video about their program that connects families in need to local food resources.
I began by getting to know Lantern’s brand identity and personality, including their bold color palette, signature orange to magenta gradient, and playful typography selections. This allowed me to stay true to their personality as I developed the illustrations and animation style.
With Lantern’s mission in mind, the illustrations are clean yet childlike and the animations are streamlined but energized. Subtle blurs and gradients, match-cut transitions, and a few 3D effects create the final look.
