HealthBus
The HealthBus digital platform is a fusion of technology and healthcare designed to break down barriers within the healthcare ecosystem. In collaboration with the fine folks at Beholde, I designed an immersive 3D world and animated a 3D brand explainer video to showcase the tech-driven, integrated solutions that HealthBus offers.
This project was an opportunity to explore a futuristic, stylized 3D look, defined by striking contrast: vibrant glows against deep blue backgrounds, vibrant oranges against cool teals, and flowing particles against geometric glass.
Early on, we explored two distinct visual styles: a faux-2D look utilizing Redshift toon shaders, and a fully 3D option incorporating layers of glass and glowing textures. In this stage, I also customized the 3D bus model central to the video concept.
The team decided to move forward with the fully 3D look, and in the next stage of development I built out a supporting environment that represents the HealthBus ecosystem. It is inspired by digital hardware and nighttime cityscapes, with a central hub powering a network of stations. Each station showcases a distinct HealthBus service, illustrated with custom 3D icons. The bus’s journey around this map serves as an anchor for the video.
With a strong understanding of the visual style, I developed a sketched storyboard to plan out each scene of the video, including supporting cutaway scenes that illustrate specific ideas along the bus’s journey.
Simulated particles emphasize HealthBus’s tech-forward and AI-enhanced solutions.
From creating the map, 3D icons, and supporting scenes to digging into vehicle rigging, Cinema 4D MoGraph tools, and particle simulations, this project was a satisfying combination of purposeful design and technical details. It was a treat to collaborate with the great team at Beholde to express the HealthBus mission and brand identity in a new, creative way.
